Much better, Maybe turn it into my swapmeat buggy? But i will stick to the Hertel or the Daimler. Just don't know what to run for wheels yet. Some say to run 700's but just don't know if they would be strong enough?

I am not sure if they are anything stronger than regular MTB wheels of 28"? As I know, that is just different tire on the same wheels, but with that dimension. Probably the strongest of bicycle's wheels should be those for cross-bicycles for races down mountains. But, they should be too expensive?
In Belgrade, I could buy relatively cheap TOMOS moped wheels of 18", but they are too heavy vor velocar with pedalling as the main powwer...
Tomorrow, some phtoos with DIY wheels... Now, bicycle with 36" wheels! probably to weak?

What i am thinking is Husky has 26" steel with 11 gage spocks. Prolly br the stongest and not to bad in price,and can get with disk break if needed. When i get a little time i will go to a bike shop and look at some of the new stuff and then i can get a better idea............Curt

Yes that has been my fear of the spoke wheels on 4 wheeled volo car. Even with slow speed one sharp turn and hit uneven ground at the same time would not be good. Just as some of the 3 wheel trikes have a wider hub in them, i could build them like Silverbear is doing on his tri-car................Curt

Now that I've got that off my chest I remember seeing somewhere a chap converting wheel hubs by cutting them in half and then using a wider sleeve spacer so that the wheel would have greater resistance to side loads.

I'd like that one, too, and would like to order it with the cedar strip body as a three wheeler with a bit more of a boat tail over the single rear wheel. When can I expect delivery?

Could that be amphibious and with flexible wing of some hang-glider, or parchute glider? To conquere land, water and air? No need to go underwater? Or, just sometimes...

Maybe we could gathered there interesting ideas, without strangling too much this one...

(legend said that cycle-cars were developed in Spain, before The Great War: competitors in gravity races put small engines on their cars to drive them up hill, instead walking and pulling them; later used to drive them from home to hill and back, and later to drive them around... could be inspiration for velocars?)

Wonderful quadricycle, elegant and light - 32 kg (my simple and rude has 52 kg), but probably too expensive... I couldn't imagine what to add and not to spoil its look? Maybe windshild and light fabric top? I couldn't see what are springs for front and rear suspension?

I would so love to own one of those old tricycles as with my own mobility getting worse I really could do with one. I refuse to get anywhere near one of those awful plastic modern mobility scooters let alone drive one.

If I get my daughter to help I'm sure that video will be possible as she understands about such things and I don't.
By way of getting some welding practice I'm going to assemble the delta trike idea I first came up with before I decided to go all the way and build a proper cyclecar. It's been hanging from the workshop roof beams for ages and it would be better to have it in a useful state than gathering cobwebs. The faux Colombe is going to need some very careful fabrication work as I put together its front drive and suspension so it would be better for me to make a lot of practice sparks on something that doesn't matter too much first before I get serious.
