I currently have a bike with a Zeda and my friend has a Zeda as wells but he claims he used to have a skyhawk and it was a good bit faster. Can anyone confirm, anybody try both these motors before?

What makes any engine fast is proper tuning, if you get the carburetor jetted right with a good expansion chamber and the right gearing to keep in the power band you can make speed with almost any engine as long as it's balanced fairly well.

I have a entry level 48cc from ebay that is 10 years old, it was slow as it came. I followed the performance mods here on the forum and increased the top speed on it by 10 mph, it's often the small things you can do that help the most. The bike is my avatar.

It looks like either engine would be a good choice, I have experience with grubee engines, I bought five gb2b 48cc kits that were 2010 models. I still have the first one I built running the same piston and cylinder. I did have to replace the crankshaft bearings and seals about four years ago.
