I also run a 7. You can tell if a plug is too hot or too cold by examining the ground electrode. If it looks like the strap is getting hot / discolored about half-way to the main body, it's about right. If it's only discolored a little bit towards the center, you need to use a hotter plug, if it has a lot of discoloration, you need a colder one.
