Removing the choke cable?

I tried using search but no reults. I live in Phoenix Az where it gets 120 at most in the summer and 40 degrees (lowest, mornings only) in the winter. My choke handlebar mount thing (grubbe skyhawk kit) decided to lose its screw and come apart. It messes with my choke settings and I was wondering (just want to be lazy) if I can remove the entire cable and just get rid of it? I never use the choke anyways, and that's one less annoying wire to worry about. I just need some thoughts/opinions on this. .shft.

I integrated my choke to the gear shifter that was connected to my brake. It looks pretty freaking sweet. I had to re solder a bead in the carb itself.

But really I never use the choke either.

That sounds pretty nifty! I think I'm just going to go through with taking it off. If anything I'm buying an NT carb next week so it shouldn't matter.
