I have a 2-peice Poo Poo pipe on my Huasheng and it's whisper quiet, but I am sure the little engine can't breathe freely. I would like to replace the muffler with a straight pipe to get a little more performance, but don't know the size and pitch of the threads on the muffler. I contacted the vendor and they didn't know either. Anyone know?

It's been my experience that the Huasheng has more average power across the rev range with a muffler.
About all you'd gain by going straight pipe is a tiny bit more power in the very high rev range and a lot of noise.
You may lose low-end torque and midrange throttle response with a straightpipe.

It's a 3 cubic inch engine, it breathes better than you think with that muffler!

Good point, Gearnut. I have a stock muffler that came with my Sachs 505D engine that I replaced with an expansion chamber. I might throw it on the HS and see if it makes any difference. It's a bit more open than the Poo Poo pipe, but is a slip on so I might have to do a little creative rigging.
