Rain is tough on them. Maybe you got moisture in CDI. Did you get spark with the plug connected to the sparkplug wire and held to the cylinder? It won't fire if just held away from the motor(cylinder). I heard one guy said he got rust in the magnito area after riding in the rain. The rust actually bridged the gap between the "rotor" part of the magnito and the laminated "U" shaped coil in the engine. Make sure there is a slight gap between the rotor and the coil. I don't know the specs on how big a gap needs to be. Maybe someone else on the forum has that gap value for you. If they touch at any point, the coil (in the engine) won't work correctly.
