what if the coast to coast rally would mean like passing a torch? meaning ride across your state, maybe the next town over to meet another rider who will travel the next leg of the trip! maybe this could be a idea that needs a little polishing!
drove a great MB. road , Murdo SD. to North Platte NEB. 100 miles a nice wide shoulder, 1 indian casino and thats about it.
Where they filmed ( dances with wolves ). lots of deer almost hit a few , could stop & camp anywhere.

Yeah! We really could create a huge rally maybe coast to coast. I have an idea. This is the very rough design of our first rally. We would have a very good biker start at the west coast and travel east. Everyone above and below would ride towards the center and stay at a hotel. We would try to time it so you don't have to wait a long time. We would slowly build up our group until we reach the east coast. Then we would have a celebration and reverse everything. Also we would have a truck to help us out along the way. Next year we would go the other way so the easties would have just as long a ride as the westies. We could move the route up and down for the people who live at the extreme north and south states. I really would like to pursue this rally. Maybe we could find a way for it to be a benefit ride. This would put our site on the map even more. I really hope we can begin an annual tradition because I know everyone would like to meet everyone else they know from the site. Please tell me what you think and point out any problems or give me some tips on how to make this idea more feasible. Thanks.

Well, moderators/seinors, what do you think? This would be a fun thing to at least try. It would take a long time. maybe too long. could we find a way to make it shorter but still be accesible to most riders? tell me what you think.

Given I've enough mileage on my poor china kit to make it from here (east coast) alla way to the other coast and 1/3 of the way back again (still goin' strong BTW, and all those miles in 'bout 1/2 a year) I'd say just the one... with a coupla replacement parts ofc. I had a cracked carb and my first tank developed a leak... and that's about it :D

Tires... I've gone through lotsa tires, but they're knobbies so that's to be expected lol

Well, let's see....the kit box is about 18 inches across, and there are 5280 feet in a mile.....around 3000 miles across the country....
