This is my first bike. I assembled the clutch lever and cable with no problems. But it is so difficult to disengage the clutch. You have to squeeze the lever as hard as possible to get it to move. Any ideas?
take the cable out of the handle, hold the cable upward and dribble 3-in-1 oil in tne end.... lots of it
the guide in the block needs oil too.... the more bends in the cable the harder the pull
Thanks
I'll give that a try. I accidently broke the head off the bolt that holds the clutch cable onto the clutch arm. I drilled it out a bit and tried a screw extractor but its stuck. So after I get the bolt out, then I can try to oil it.
I used some 3-1 oil, made the cable a bit shorter to make less bends, and now it works great!! 75% easier to pull the clutch lever. Thanks so much for your help!!
