Dang I misspelled coconut......

This is a true story, a friend of mine told me that his cousin has a friend who he works with, and was told by her Aunt the following story…. Now if you believe that…oh well.

This is the actual story. Think, are you or someone you know has memory loss….

My sister, has a personal friend, (lets call her Jane). Well Jane has a husband that suffers with Alzheimer’s disease. Jane took her husband to a specialist, and the doctor tested him. The husband was sat at a table and given a pencil and paper. The instructions from the doctor were that he wanted the husband to draw a clock (standard circle) and insert the numbers.

After some time he drew what he thought was a clock, although no one could make it out, of course he couldn’t remember the numbers either. The doctor told Jane that there wasn’t anything he could do for Jane’s husband.

Jane remembered reading something about COCONUT OIL, well she started researching about the product, and decided that what! what can it hurt…. Jane bought a jar of the oil and administered it to her husband (at least 1 TBL per day). She spread it on his toast, cooked his eggs with it, in fact Jane used it in place cooking oil, butter, mayonnaise. (not to be used for deep frying) ….

After a week of her husband intake of Coconut oil, she sat him down and did the same test that the doctor did. Although the clock wasn’t pretty, he did in fact draw one….only he couldn’t remember the numbers.

Fast forward 1 month. Jane repeated the test, and this time, not only that he drew a clock (was much better), but he actually remembered the numbers.

For those interested in coconut oil, they make it in both regular and organic. WalMart is the cheapest my wife could find it (although my sister ordered it on line till I told her about WalMart) For a 31.5 ounce bottle the cost with tax was $6.40. At and below 74 degrees it's a solid.

My memory for the most part is good, although I have had to type something and I had to sit back and think about the word I wanted. One such time was when I wanted to think about a CLUTCH SHAFT (and type it) but actually CAMSHAFT came out.

I started using (and my wife needs it more then I) coconut oil yesterday, I spread it on toast, cook my eggs in it, sauté my clam strips in it, along with adding it to my oatmeal (great for lowering cholesterol)…many more uses to come. Ahh fry eggplant.

My Dad has BAD memory loss that I have to finish his sentences for him, he will be using it and when I talk to him I’ll find out if there is any difference in him. Take it for what is it worth.
OH by the way, to me I cant tell of any flavor, although at times I wished it did.

Omega 3's, taking a fish/flax oil supplement helps too, I take omegas when I remember to (lol) because it helps to remember stuff for school.

If you take the coconut oil, maybe you will remember to take the Omega 3 :>). I eat quite a bit of cold water fish, especially Salmon, and Cod... Although I like to fish, I'm restricted to fresh water, and don't keep many species. My Gulf fishing days are about over.
