I installed it today, it started the first time with almost not power, and tan for a minute or two. Now it won't start at all. It has compression and spark, and I'm getting the occasional drop of gas out of the muffler after trying to start it. The kill switch is disconnected, the clutch is engaging and the throttle is working fine. I'm not sure what my problem could be! I've heard that some won't start unless the white wire is under load, is that true?

Welcome to the forum, the white wire is not used and should be capped off. Check the spark plug to see if it’s wet, fuel dripping from the exhaust points to a flooded engine. If flooded turn the engine over without the plug to evacuate the fuel, clean or change the plug and try again, if you use the choke when it starts hitting lower the choke slightly, I usually stop and warm the engine till I can return the choke to fully open.
