Default Install 60cc Raw Motors Gas Engine on Cranbrook Beach Cruiser

Hi from Orange Park Fla.
I am in the process of adding a 60cc Raw Motors gas engine to a Huffy Cranbrook beach cruiser. I have seen many of these installations on various web sites. Have found and solved a lot of the problems associated with this installation but cannot figure out a motor installation fix to prevent chain rub on the rear tire. Would appreciate helpful suggestions from motor bikers that have been able to fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

Welcome. Make sure your rear sprocket is oriented so that the "dish" of its teeth is away from the wheel; that'll give you about another 1/4". I also know that some of the instructions are sloppy with describing how the rear sprocket rag joint goes together. Mine instructed me to have the metal sprocket right up against the spokes, which just ain't right (in almost all cases). It should be (from outside to in): sprocket, curved metal plate set, rubber ring, spokes, rubber ring, curved metal plate set.

Good luck!
