my carb ears all broke

I was riding to town yesterday when all of a sudden i heard the ol blahhhhhh sound i figured my carb may have blown off the intake as it has done many times before. nope the ears completetly broke off what a piece of garbage. waiting for bikeberry to open up so i can send em the pic and see how good the 6 month warranty they have is. I'll let you guys now how it goes

I noticed in zoom that you have modified your throttle cable. Hmmm, did you shorten it? Did you ramp up to wide open frequently? I think without the shroud at the end of your cable you where probably tugging the whole carb upwards while at full throttle. Those tabs are too brittle to withstand repeated flexing. This is just my best guess, I'm no expert.
