Thats goin to be one sick ride Tcams, good score on the bike, and i like to see that intake on that motor, dont forget to still use some RTV on that intake to carb mount, i dont know if the O'ring alone is enough to stop air leaks, if you did use the gasket maker already than thats a good clean job doing so!!!! Have fun and we will ride when you get back. My motors are coming today!!!! I cant wait to check em out

make sure you tell Jim about the rear departure, and about counter boring the rear sproket. you might want to mention to him floridaboy, and antihista' electras. also your 2.5 inch rear tire might be a problem, we are running 2.125" tires and had to bend to coaster arm just to get enough clearance for the chain

"rear departure and Counter boring the rear sprocket" I have no idea what this means? Can you explain?? Jim has the measurements for the Electra Coaster engine mount so I dont have to worry about measuring.

I had to bend the coaster break arm on my Cranbrook, so I shouldnt have a problem with that.

I cant buy the sprocket and adapter at the moment. So Im going to purchace it from Pirate Cycles because Jim is swamped w/ orders.

Do you have any pics of your Electra?

Thanks

Default Re: Electra Coaster

the rear departure is the coaster hub

here is a picture of my bike

http://motorbicycling.com/f15/electr...uild-8373.html

pic 3 shows the spocket counter bored, i have now changed my bike and removed the motor mount from jim because both mine and my dads broke and now we have a mount made of steel and rubber isolated mounted bolts

also i had to change the gas tank to a rear mounted one because i kept breaking the regular tanks
