Thats goin to be one sick ride Tcams, good score on the bike, and i like to see that intake on that motor, dont forget to still use some RTV on that intake to carb mount, i dont know if the O'ring alone is enough to stop air leaks, if you did use the gasket maker already than thats a good clean job doing so!!!! Have fun and we will ride when you get back. My motors are coming today!!!! I cant wait to check em out

make sure you tell Jim about the rear departure, and about counter boring the rear sproket. you might want to mention to him floridaboy, and antihista' electras. also your 2.5 inch rear tire might be a problem, we are running 2.125" tires and had to bend to coaster arm just to get enough clearance for the chain

"rear departure and Counter boring the rear sprocket" I have no idea what this means? Can you explain?? Jim has the measurements for the Electra Coaster engine mount so I dont have to worry about measuring.

I had to bend the coaster break arm on my Cranbrook, so I shouldnt have a problem with that.

I cant buy the sprocket and adapter at the moment. So Im going to purchace it from Pirate Cycles because Jim is swamped w/ orders.

Do you have any pics of your Electra?

Thanks

the rear departure is the coaster hub

here is a picture of my bike

pic 3 shows the spocket counter bored, i have now changed my bike and removed the motor mount from jim because both mine and my dads broke and now we have a mount made of steel and rubber isolated mounted bolts

also i had to change the gas tank to a rear mounted one because i kept breaking the regular tanks

the mounts both broke at the bend just up from where the front of the engine mounts to the plate due to flexing of the motor, my dad still has one of the mounts from jim in a schwinn legacy

well there is not much you can do it is because of the distance between frame is longer than a normal bike the electra's have about a 6" stretch over something like a legacy and a jaguar and with that amount of distance flex will happen and if the aluminum is to hard like mine it developed stress cracks when it was made which caused the breakage

if would do all again i think i would go for the steel frame coaster, with the aluminum you are always going to worry about the frame cracking or go with a friction drive or rack mount

because trashing a $350 frame is not my idea of fun

I just better take it easy on the frame then. I want to put some good suspension forks on it but I am not fermiliar with forks and what not. I will figure it out though If it is gonna take some stress off the frame!

well electra has a spinger fork avalable for around $70 that will fit your bike without any problems you could pick a cheaper springer and have it cut to the right size at a bike shop. spookytooth has a springer for around $70 and has the bits attached to install a front brake

Just a Quick Update.

I ordered the sprocket adapter with a 40t sprocket and boy is it nice. It fits perfect!! I might have to bend the coaster break arm alil but that shouldnt be a problem. I Really Recommend The sprocket adapter, THANKS JUSTIN!!!!

I am going to order SBP expansion chamber next week!!

Im still waiting patiently for the engine mount from Jim, I hope the comes soon.

Just a quick pic of what It currently looks like right now, I got some grips that look well with the all blackness.

Hope you like it!
