I am very new at all of this and am working on my first build using the Grubee skyhawk 88cc. The kit that has good reviews and has what I believe from reading is the newest carb model (the one with the red faceplate for the air intake). I've been having more issues with this bike than a magazine, but I suppose that's beginner's luck in the motorized bicycle world :)

It sounds unitellegent, but I really would just like to know what the heck this thing does:


Can anyone explain??? I've looked all over, but can't bring myself to a definitive answer!Thanks in advance. Its function, how to use it, its benefits? Anything. !!!

I don't have a CNS carb, but I believe that is the choke lever for a CNS carb. I also understand the CNS is not as good as the NT carb. Try getting a NT brand carb and save yourself some trouble.

If you want a nicer carb maybe consider the dax carb:

It is called rt carb high performance

It has a semi auto choke (hehe kinda confusing)
What you do is you lock it down and start the engine. When the engine is warmed up you just twist the throttle all the way and it clicks open.

The carb itself is somewhere around $30 dollars and I think you need to buy the cable also, another 10 dollars.

I run the carb myself and love it.

I agree, the RT carb is by far the best in my opinion. I have heard so many people complain about the CNS carb

It's so you can open/close the choke from the handlebars without having to put 1 hand on the carby, makes it a bit safer, I know car drivers who hate watching you ride infront of em with 1 hand fiddling behind.

Don't give up on the cns2 before you try it. I have two bikes, one has the n/t the other the cns2. The bike with the cns2 runs better and is faster than the other. You will have to tune the cns2 to your engine but after that it should be o/k. Mine is on a 48cc, Biknut did alot of work on a cns2 on a 66cc. The link below may help.
