splinting cases on starfire 66cc

All the 66cc/ 48cc engines are very similar.How in the world do I get the cases apart on the bottom end of the starfire 66cc motor?? I have tried and tried . I want to balance the crank but I can't get the cases apart to remove it.
I just pulled the cases apart on a Grubee Starfire that had a destroyed bearing behind the magneto.
I presume that you have removed all the gears, etc and case screws?
It was a tough job that required alternate prying at the front and rear mount areas. I only wanted the left side of the case and the crank and bearing is still stuck in the right case side.
