hey every one i got new rings on my piston and i just wanted to know if i have to run a 16:1 mixture again to break them in. also do i need to take it easy on it and not push it too hard?, i only changed the rings not the piston. thanks

Nah...I believe the break-in mix is more for a brand new setup. I never have gone into break-in mode after top-end replacement. You WILL however notice a power increase as time goes by as the new ring seats in the cylinder. ALSO: go 20:1 when you DO break-in; 16:1 is too much oil.

Once the engine is broken in the first time, I don't bother adjusting oil ratio again when rebuilding unless the entire top end is replaced. I just stick with my normal 40:1.

not really a break in just ride as you normaly would, just dont run really rich or the rings wont seat as good as they could
