I've been meaning to ask this, it seems that I saw somewhere that the engines like mine with the 6mm studs has a smaller bore than the slant head engines with the 8mm studs, I have not measured the bores to see if it is true, but I have a slant head and a new head gasket that has holes for the 6mm studs, I thought about slipping the slant head on my engine and seeing if it would make a difference, I dont know yet if my current straight plug motor has a flat top piston or if it is domed, I know that the slant head motor I have has a domed piston in it so I know that if my current engine has a flat top piston I would be running backwards and loosing power not a chance for a gain on a deal like that.
