Well I finally finished my wives birthday gift yesterday ( well nearly )....
This won't be a full on build thread as this bike is basically a clone of the last gas bike that I built ( with a few tweaks.)

The bike:
I used a Huffy Santa Fee 2 frame that I had in the pile.

( look familiar ? ) It's a low buck frame that was used as a comparison on a previous post. Not the prettiest frame.........but what the heck...
Mavic rims , Shimano derailleur and crank set.
Centrix forks , Tectro front V brakes ,Power cantilever rear braking system .
A conversion system, as the frame was a coaster brake frame and had no provision for lever brakes. A pain ....... And very hard to find...
I then equipped the bike with a dual pull brake lever to control the brakes..
The saddle is an old Viscount that my wife loves.....

The conversion :
I used the Song Top 66 cc kit , yet again .( Why screw with a good thing) ?
The engine is bone stock ... ( at this point ) ....
Rag joint rear sprocket 44 tooth.
I'm running a lever type sprung chain tension-er ( ugly but serviceable and reliable)

The exhaust is a long tube torque pipe that was fabed in house.
It is running the cat from the kits stock exhaust .
The bike hasn't got enough time on it yet to properly evaluate the exhaust.
All I can tell you at this point is, more torque and no loss of top end...

Electrical:
Unlike my bike, where I run a 6 volt in case generator and rectifier from Wonderful Creations ( around $40. Great system...........

I opted to run the "DIY white wire rectifier system ( found on this sight) .
Works great so far and costs around $8... I highly recommend it.
It feeds a 6 volt alarm system battery that hangs behind the seat post in a small camera bag ( a great battery case ) which in turn feeds the lighting system through the same switch I use on all my builds.

Th rest of the electrical system is stock.

Accessories :
I hung an analog speedometer on the 1" riser bars (more for the look) . Not a very accurate way to gauge your speed....
No worries though , the bike also sports a bicycle computer for accuracy...
A rather robust rear rack and a nice set of panniers from M-Wave.
And of course the seat post tool role....

So far the wife loves the bike. She still prefers to peddle. She sez she feels guilty riding the gas bike....... I'm sure she will get over that.....

Hope you enjoy.... Gregg...

Great looking build. She's a lucky lady.

As for the exhaust; I've built several using 3/4" EMT and the kit muffler out back. I compared performance with an X-chamber system on one bike and found no appreciable difference except that my long pipes were about 10 times quieter. I think you'll be pleased with how it works for you/her.

Thanks for sharing your talents with us again.

Very Nice. Looks very comfortable and with the elect.mod, panniers plenty utility. I think I'm gonna go ahead and make an exhaust like what you have here for my next bike. Thought of doing it before. Toms input and your result have inspired me to go for it.
Also noticed the tensioner Ugly maybe but simple, reliable and better I agree. Have you re-enfoced those fenders?
Thanks guys.

Those are Bontregor carbon fenders .
Pretty substantial mounts.
I'm not to worried about them .
Thanks for the nice words on the bike guys.
I like the whole bagger thing so much that I ordered another set for my bike....
