So here's my symptoms: the engine turns over and starts perfectly. But as soon as I get goin it the muffler starts making a loud popping sound when I reach around 10 to 15mph. I try to make it go faster and it just starts bogging. The petcock from the tank I ruined and won't tight to the tank so I had to "jury rig" it on there to make it stay.

So finally I had got it to about 25 when all of a sudden I felt gas pouring on my leg and imediately covered the the hole. The petcock fell off.. I'm thinking if I get a new tank and valve the problem might be solved. But maybe it could be the main jet or something else in the carb.

Heres the kit I have: 66cc SD stinger.

Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have an NT carb

well, getting the tank repaired and a new fuel valve is a good place to start.checking for dirt in the carb would be my next thing.

i wouldnt want to be fiddling with anything until the risk of fuel leaking is eliminated.
igniting fuel that has spilled/soaked your pants would be a major cause for concern.
