What happens if carb is not perfectly level?

Hey, I got my engine kit a few days ago and it's been a real effort trying to put her together. I've probably spent more on the kit and various parts than a really nice 4-stroke setup.

My question is, I just ordered an offset intake manifold because my CNS2 carb doesn't fit perfectly in my frame. If I leave my setup the way it is now, the carb is turned 10-20 degrees (to the left of the seat post) to allow my throttle cable to clear the top tube. While I wait for the new offset intake, can I run the engine with my carb in this position? Do I risk ruining anything?

I've spent two solid days on this and just want to get her running. Thanks!

it probably won't ruin anything, but you might have some fuel starvation issues, four-stroking, etc. since the float bowl won't be level and full.

but if it'll run that way, it's doubtful that it could do any harm to the engine or anything else.

Mine's running at about a 15* angle. Never had a problem, although I do have a rather deep bowl and I adjusted the float to compensate.
