how can you tell if you've blown a gasket?

Im not sure, but i may have blown my head gasket (not me, my bike) it lost a lot of power last time i rode it, but im not sure if thats a symptom of a blown head gasket, also, if there are any other symptoms of a blown gasket please list them, thanks for the help:-||

Ridin' inSane Diego, CA.
Visually inspect the head gasket 360 degrees...if you see any black or brown goo seeping from anywhere around the head gasket, it may be blown but more likely just needs to be tightened down or torqued down properly. The aluminum head gaskets don't really blow all that easily, but they leak if they become loosened.

And yes, some power loss can be caused by this.

thanks a lot, it works fine now, the head gasket was loose, and i tightened, and it has normal amounts of power now, THANKS TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE THATS HELPED ME SO FAR!!!!
