Were u gonna get a kit or make it urself? If ur getting a kit did u want a friction drive or in frame kit?
Why those two in particular? Are they bikes you already have? Or is it something you just like for some reason?
I'm asking because you need to post more info on what you're going to do. Front or rear Friction drive, China girl, or anything else?

watch out for the fat down tube, I have one and its a pain in the ass if you dont have alot of tools/machines at your disposal
with the schwinn, he could use a universal motor mount (the u-bolt style, not the one where you drill a hole in the frame. with the trek, looks like just abour his only options are fd or some type of chain driven rack mount.
