Ok so far I have established that I want:
4 stroke (need distance, reliability, mpg)
probably titan or hua sheng (cheaper than honda, but still good)
on a mountain bike (off-road)
probably front shocks/suspension

What's the difference from a 4g t belt(why is it called that?) and chain drive?
What's a shifter kit? Do I need one?
Do I need any special brakes?

I've read of people removing the gears on their bikes. Is there a reason for doing this when adding an engine?

I'm thinking about getting this:

Some great questions Tuna. There is so much information and opinions on each of those questions that it will take some reading. At the top of the page is a search feature. Just type in, say 4G for instance and a ton of information will come up.

Just for clarity, the 5G and 4G are made by 2 different companies and are not the same thing

I use a Staton Inc crank drive kit on my auto shift bike. It works great I can select from three drives on the crank and the rear seven gears shift automatically.
