I found a couple threads where people sealed the coils with spray paint, plasti dip or waterproof silicone spray.

Do you only cover the coil, or the entire magneto? What kind of silicone sealer should I use? I have a spare magneto I can practice on

I plan to seal the wire exit and mating area where the covers meet with rtv silicone, I just want to be 100% sure my magneto won't fry

I read and watched a video where the person ran the bike and sprayed water on the magnetto! Not sure if this is true though! Mine kept having problems so I also sealed it with silicon! Works great now!

I guess I never thought of that. Seems to me there are lots of coils for other things that are epoxied or plastic or hot glue? coated. Probably a good idea to try, let us know how it goes. I might just do it since the engine is out anyways. might hold that little ground wire more solid too.

There was PLENTY of interest, you just never replied!
You initial (and first) reply to that post:

No interest in a year?!?

So, yes I waited a WHOLE YEAR, and there was no interest.

Further, the post then tangentialized into 'The Stuph' ans Plast-Dip.
