Have you ever seen a green flash at sunset.....or sunrise? Many people have never heard of one, let alone have seen one, so here is a Wikipedia description of a "Green Flash"; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_flash

I was at the beach yesterday till sunset and just happened to capture on my camera a green flash.......see what you think....don't blink.

I read about the green flash in a book called "The Gossamer Albatross", about the first human powered flight across the English Channel. They talked about seeing the flash in the evenings after testing the Albatross in the high desert of California.
As a surveyor in Arizona, I had the opportunity to observe many desert sunsets. Alas, I never saw the green flash, despite my considerable efforts.

Being born and raised in south Florida I've seen the flash several times especially from Key West. It doesn't happen every sunset but it certainly draws the tourist to sit there, slugging down rum drinks and hoping they'll see it. Good memories.
