I have a 48cc sky hawk.I installed a centrifugal clutch couple months ago and it works fine,so when installed it. I read to tighten the bolt on it buy putting rope in the spark plug cylinder. So now I got a bad miss in it and its like the piston tapping something but it's run good at riding speed.I only notice the miss at idle and it won't let me set the idle low it dies at miss.So the higher idle its goes away.I got it to go away one time. Then the clutch started slipping so I took it apart and found that I need to buy a shorter bolt for the centrifugal clutch to keep it tight and on right. Then now rope in the cylinder to tighten again and the miss is back.My question is whats the miss from bad clutch maybe don't know?

Lets see...

...it's a 2 stroke correct, so a bent valve is out of the question.

I always try to go back to the last thing I did.

Rope fuzz on the spark plug? Try a new plug?

Did you check the ignition timing?

Try adjusting the air screw on the carb?

I'm just guessing

MTB MOTO I really think that it has some thing to do with timing too,but they say that timimng is not adjustable on theses china 2 strokes. Thanks for your time too.
