I've gotten hold of a factory recon wheeled string trimmer, a 30cc 4-stroke from Ryobi, model T430. The powerplant is the version with the metal camshaft, not the older plastic-cam version that melted
. It has an overhung (single-ended) crankshaft, and the overhead camshaft is driven with a timing belt.
*Man* do these little boogers ever run well! It's destined for my 26" Eskine bike.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the engine's power output is? (And don't say, "mechanical" hehehe)
I plan on eventually using my own homebrew exhaust system, but I'd like to keep the carb original because it works so well and is really easy to start. Numerous web searches reveal nothing about it's power output.
