I've got a 2010 Grubee/Skyhawk GT5R 66cc engine with a centrifugal clutch.
The Engine runs fine and starts fairly easily on a bump start IF I have the room to peddle it back up to starting speed after an inadvertent stall in traffic...
That can get DANGEROUS in NYC traffic real fast.

What I need is a pull starter for quick restarts, but no one seems to carry a pull stater kit for the GT5R engine.
As the GT5 and GT5A engines use a smaller 4 bolt mag cover and the GT5R has the larger 3 bolt cover i cant find one to fit.
The Grubee "info" site shows a pull starter for the GT5R, but as i said, none of the regular dealers seem to know anything about it.
I then had the idea of cutting a 2 1/2" hole in the stock 3 bolt cover, and adapting a GT5 4 bolt pull start cover and engagement mechanism to the GT5R cover, it will add about 3" to the engine width but it will still clear the peddles.
Any one have any experience with adapting pulls starters?
Id appreciate any advice any one has.
