I just opened a vintage airplane model (MPC) and inside was a Stroker McGurk decal...

I know he was a cartoon in the late 40's early 50's and again in the mid 60's.

Anyone know why there would be this decal in an airplane model?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe that airplane has McGurk manifolds on it. Or, because that decal is the one of him with the jousting pole and he's got a parachute on him. Or, they used that as an effort to get you to buy their Hot Rod magazine. I'm sure everyone at that time knew what that was, well you'd think anyway.

Don't ask me though, I Googled it because I always like that "old" stuff and you sparked my curiosity.

Very cool though.
