Need solid 1" suspension with a disc tab for $100. Have weeded out the options that won't work: Monark, girvin, for different reasons; moped fork MIGHT work (treatland, $110), but there are too many unknowns- don't know if a 26" wheel won't bottom out.. nor if I will be able to add a disc tab knowing the spacing is 110mm... Can't afford to find out for $110. Basically after too much research, have come down to single crown 1" steerer forks rare as they are.

So, is the custommotoredbicycles single crown generic suspension fork safe to use on a 45mph MB? Any breakage stories? Any other cheap forks you guys are using in 1"?

It's the "SHOCK DISC FORK" for $78.99, 70mm travel and 4.5lbs. A hybrid fork I guess.

Looks like the sr suntour shock fork. I have 2 of them, both 1-1/8", one threaded, the other threadless. They seem to be great forks, but I can't vouch for this one if it's a generic ripoff. However, I would be quite surprised if they came from different factories...

Thanks Mat_man, I'm ashamed to admit it but you are in fact much better at finding the lowest price than I am! A great skill considering I'm Jewish! :D

Still trying to find info on performance on these cheap forks. Anybody tried them? Are they any good or are they overpriced pogo sticks?
