I have a department-store MTB, and a couple of Curry PMDC 600 watt motors, but only one 12 volt "Stinger" SLA to power them(not interested in LiPO!!);any1 have a practical voltage multiplier schematic/circuit to power these 24 volt PMDC motors for a "DIY" hybrid motored MTB???

They have them on eBay but not a lot of watts.

And here

It might be cheaper to buy another SLA battery to go with it and have 24v.

Or how about 2 small sla batteries to run the bike then use the big 12 sla battery to run a smaller watt 12 to 24v converter to back up the two smaller sla batteries ?

I dont understand why you arent interested in lipo batteries. most e-bikes use lipo batteries. I do believe lipo has a longer range than sla. either way, I have read that it is possible to make an e-bike self charging.
