I guess you pulled the spark plug and it had a gap of 0.032 and you re gaped it to 0.025.
Now it will pull start. What you did is made it easier for your ignition to fire.
I run mine at even less gap 0.017 to 0.020. The only problem with less gap is the spark plug could fowl from carbon or some sort of trash shorting out the two electrodes.
You didn't hurt anything and may have done it some good.
I still run the stock china plugs and only change to champion plugs once the china spark plug fowls out and no amount of cleaning will fix it. I try to get the dying quiver out of them.
