I've pretty much got the chain sizing thing down over the last few years, but seems like I've got a new kink in my link…………

Is the HT kit supplied chain REALLY a 415 chain?

OR are there two sizes actually called 415?

What is the difference between a 415H and a 415?

Is this 415H: Bike Tools Etc. - 1000's of bicycle tools and parts for the home mechanic!
the same size as a HT 415 chain?

415h is made with stronger plates and rollers
it is made for bmx stunting
(very strong, mine never stretched noticably over 4-5k)
kmc calls theirs drop-buster I think

my chain is a 415H and i had to thin it out to join some normal 415 links....no problems with the chain so far......

Well if the original chain it came with is a 415....if, but that's what the box says, and the #42 I bought from TSC is a #42...and that what the box says....and it fits #42 half and full links bought elsewhere....I still trust myself.

So... I ordered a 415H chain the other day and tried to fit it in half an hour ago. It required some force with the rubber hammer for the chain to follow thru with the engine sprocket. Havent moved my bike yet but what do you say? It feels like the chain will eat some of my block away, even though it may be 0.5 mm of material.
Are you sure this is the right stuff? (see pic)

Update: I compared the original china chain with the 415H. The 415H had the same dimensions except for the witdth of the rolls and the bolts were around 1 mm wider.

415H DID NOT FIT MY CHINA ENGINE.
