Its actually one of the first recommendations/ mod to do for a fast and cheap performance boost, along with trimming the gasket to match.

Same goes for the exhuast, the gasket and manifold for the exhaust are restrictive from factory.

Although leaving the intake side a little rough helps with the atomization of the gas and air mixture, which improves performance

The exhuast side is better off ported and polished, a smother the exit, the better the performance

I't's not really needed except on 10 10'ths builds. Race engine, yes. Ht's, not so much.
Still, every litlle bit helps is what I always say.

True, every little helps a lot . Don't ruffled up polish it . I always say smoother is mover .hey things smooth out as gotta go faster .and yes I've done that I can I copy the port it runs close to like a manic .
