Hi, Anyone here who has removed the tensioner, Is that sorta high pitched 'whine' noise the tensioner? It seems to me like it comes from that area, Mainly present at low to midrpms where the bike is kicking the motor over, goes away at high speed when the motor is flying.

If the tensioner wheel is not aligned with the chain path it can be noisy. Try for perfect alignment so the chain doesn't rub against the sides of the wheel. I also concur that gear noise is your most likely culprit.

The smoothest teinsoner I ever used was a skate board wheel. The chain bent less going over a bigger teinsoner wheel. The arch it has to make on the smaller kit supplied wheel.
