you might be running dangerously lean...

what is the carb needle set to?

yeah that's a load of crap. rode mine 20 miles just for the h*** of it. spark plug wasn't even hinting at glowing.

still curious as to what you have the carb needle set at.

Do not ride the bike when the spark plug is glowing!
How many miles did you ride it like that?

Did you take the plug out and look at it?
what is the color of the porcelain? White?
Is the spark plug damaged? cracked?

Is it the original Chinese spark plug?
Is the spark plug loose? like the threads are messed up?

Try using a new plug like an NGK?

Or your mixture is running so lean that you are about to burn a hole in your piston.
Do you have massive air leaks?
Does the motor idle?
What setting is the clip on the needle in the carb?
Does full choking the idling motor make it stall quickly?
how about some pics?

Gas bike seems to like to blame their customers for everything
and they know very little about these motors. Good Luck!

I forgot to ask ya what oil ratio mix you are running?
PS : No insults intended, just a hella lot of questions.

It's bogging out because it heats up so much the piston is expanding and scraping the cylinder walls. This is very bad, I'd pretty much guess the motor is already toast. It almost sounds like no oil or not enough.

There are two lean conditions to deal with: not enough oil in the gasoline/oil mix or not enough fuel going into the motor. If both are going on I feel bad for you. It's eating itself up. The aluminum melts onto the rings so they no longer work and then the next thing is a hole in the piston or the piston welds itself to the jug.

I think it's to the point already that a new jug and piston with rings and gaskets is going to be needed...soon.

...I have never in my life seen a red glowing spark plug and I raced street stock, modified 4 street stock, two stroke gokarts from McCullough to Yamaha KT100 to a superkart with a RM 250 Suzuki motor. None of my plugs or any I've ever seen have done this. I'd kinda like to see photo's, too ;)

We need to see teh pic of your glowing sparkplug because
none of us have ever seen that before. LOL
and it would just be cool....please take the pic at night.

Did you try the 2nd plug? Did it glow too?

What oil mix ratio are you using and what type of oil?

No one can help fix your motor without a little more input from you
and it sounds like it has been damaged already.

Probably time to pull the head and take a look with pics for us.
You can also pull the exhaust pipe and look at the piston, rings
and cylinder walls through the exhaust port with a light

Did you try the 2nd sparkplug? or only use one?
I am trying to do a process of elimination here and you ain't making
it easy.
You is a man of few words....

You are using way too much oil at 8 oz to a gallon so
You must be running very lean fuel to air to be getting that hot

Don't forget the pics....

so i got pulled over and found out you have to have a d.l to drive it now i have a court date
Damn! The cop saw the glowing spark plug? LOL

How is it running now?
there are 2 different kinds of lean
the amount of oil in the gas
and the amount of fuel to air

There are a bunch of threads about Florida laws....
Good luck and let us know how you do in court.
