I noticed that most bikes with stock intake have their carbs at an angle forward. I need to make an offset and will be able to set the angle. Whats the best position? flat parallel to the ground or what? and also any idea on attaching steel to copper? silver braze?? would mapp gas work or would i need to use an oxyfuel setup?

Correct - flat, parallel to the ground.

Honestly, I would say go with your gut. Silver braze is sufficient, but to be certain as you're bonding two different metals, I would go with oxyacetylene to insure a good joint.

Horizontal, parallel with the ground is what you should be shooting for....
