After contacting the distributor's tech support and getting nowhere (not even a return call), I've arrived here in hopes to get the help I need. Thank you all in advance.

Here's my problem - The clutch actuating lever pushes on the rod activating the clutch assembly. This rod is sticking out approximately ½” and appears to be frozen thereby prohibiting placing the cover on for the adjustment of the clutch. HELP!!

If you do a quick searcxh on that subject, you will find a million answers to your problem. Usually, the pin just requires a good smack with a hammer. Sometimes you'll have to dis-assemble the clutch from the plate (right) side.
