I wonder if we could make it a rule that only thumb throttles can be used.
Should i start a petition !! Lol. Makes sense to me! I have little respect for the twist throttle junk i have seen. I would rather run a string down to the carb. Jmho! Have had too much strong black coffee, am wired!

I may run dual carbs so i can have two thumb throttles. $9.95 free sh!!

i just use a break leaver as my throttle. no drilling, no slipping. no chewed up cables! and if i want. i can mod a left hand break leaver and us it as a thumb throttle.:)


works great!

If you don't drill the handlebar, or remove the little 'nub' as you call it, tightening the grip assembly down can cause a bind or worse, a crack in the plastic. The 'nub' is there to prevent the grip from rotating on the bar. Most drill a hole to keep things from moving but I've read a few posts from guys who have had luck just tightening the grip after removing that tedious 'nub. Personally, I drill a 5/32 hole in the handlebar.
