that you can run the engine backwards. I have about five good sized and nasty looking burns on my right leg. They come from bumping into the hot mufflers.

Once Ilikabika got me to try to run the engine backwards and it worked on the two engines I tried it on so far, I haven't had a burn. I simply mount the engine on the right side of the bike instead of the left. For some reason I push from the left side, I get on the bike from the left side so no more accidental encounters with the hot muffler.

Yes I know I'm supposed to leave the muffler cover on but I seldom do. It seems to always be removed for one reason or another.

I also just finished mounting the worst offending motor on the right front. That should definitely end my leg burn and go right to the hands lol.

which means a HT that doesnt need a jackshafted shifter kit - at least I think that would be the case, just a freewheel crank - much yayness
