I use a chunk of bike tubing same dia as the bike the engine is gong on. I glue emery cloth to the tube and then sand away to get the mount to fit.
I've also used the runny JB weld 5 minute stuff. I use masking tape to build dams and slather in the JB keeping an eye on it so it don't run all over. once it sets I finish tightening the mounting bolts remove the tape clean up the little bits of epoxy with a exacto knife it makes a very good solid mount.
