Hey everybody i sold my 2 stroke grubee engine kit and bought a huasheng 142f engine kit and am loving it so far. The bike starts on the second pull cold and idles good. Ive broken in the engine with 2 tanks of gas. When im at a dead stop and i crack the throttle about 1/4 of the way open the motor sputters and will die, one pull start and it fires back up. If i give the bike 1/2 to WOT throttle it hesitates for half a second but then accelerates smooth from a dead stop it accelerates fine.

My guess is that the valves need adjustment, but im going to try a brand new spark plug and get back to you guys if that fixed it.

Most likely it's your valves, but your fuel/air mixture plays a part in that, too. Try adjusting your air screw on the carb a half turn either way.

Mine used to sputter bad on part throttle when my valves were really loose. Ever since I adjusted them to .004/.006 most the sputter went away.
Got rid of the rest of it by drilling my carb jet out, as my plug was showing lean.
