Hi I just bought 80cc kit California legal kit from Venice motors, and the clutch is locked. When you press the bucking arm the pressure plate does not move, even with a hammer. So there is no way I can engage or disengage the clutch.

Currently it is stuck in the on position, where the parts are touching, will I still be able to start and ride the bike?

You can't push the pin (bucking bar) with your hand. The clutch spring is a lot stronger than you might think. You'll need to install the clutch lever and cable and adjust it correctly before you can disengage the clutch. And do not hammer on it!

If you have other problems you should contact Venice directly. He is a reputable vendor and will give you all the help you need with anything you purchased from him.

I responded to your email... Is there any 'slack' in the clutch cable when the hand lever is out?

Call me tomorrow morning so I can 'walk you through' a few adjustments. ;)
