turning standard cag cylinder?

just wondering if i can turn the cylinder of my standard cag by 180 degrees since it doesnt have a ported piston? or will that mess other stuff up?

As long as the transfers line up it should work.
Search "reversed jug" for some members doing the same thing with a chinagirl.
Moonerdizzle has a reverse ht I think....

just took off the cylinder and the transfers line up alright all i'd have to do is turn the piston so the rings don't get caught in the exhaust port.the cylinder and piston are both fairly scratched up! but no scratches i can catch with my fingernail, would i be able to sand them out with very fine paper?

DON'T sand the cylinder!
Use the correct size ball hone if anything...I would not touch it myself as long as you can't feel scratches.
