says "hose power 5.5"

I've seen HT ads hosing folks with claims of 5+ for stock engines.

maniac57,
Sad but true about them CAGS.
I had 3 of them and only 1 worked out well for a few thousand miles before going bad.
If you got lucky to get a good one, they are beastly little power powerplants.
I swore never to get another CAG and now only buy Japanese Tanaka engines owning a few ranging from 32cc - 47cc.
You get what you pay for.
At the time I spent around $120 for a complete Stage 2 CAG (minus the fuel tank).
Cheers,

The cag engines have broken the hearts and will of MANY mechanics. Don't feel bad...
They drove me insane with teaser glimpses of excellent power, but always paid off in broken pull starts and loose bolts.
I've been a two stroke fan since age 7 and been working on them almost 45 years, and I simply refuse to have ANYTHING to do with CAG engines.
Just my way of preventing thrown tools and bad language.

North Bend, Or,
I would never suggest that any potential CAG engine buyer tinker with his or her engine to possibly detune them.

Nope, not me.. (Yeah, that's the ticket...XD)
