I thought i had a carb problem and switched my carb for a nother carb.(nt)

The replacement carb doesnt have as much slide travel it seems as it doesnt have as much wot pickup..... Both carbs are jetted the same and needle is same.. actually i just changed the main carb body and used my needle and slide assembly...

Why would one carb have more "throttle range" than the other....

It turned out that I had a cdi problem not the carb...

Not explained very well, but I hope you get my drift....

Just a thought, has anyone experienced different performance w/ stock cdi's??Meaning 1 may have better performance than the other???

Check the slide is installed right. They should travel the same unless there is some internal problem. Too long a spring maybe? As far as performance, there is always a little difference but not enough to bother changing out cdi's unless they fail. If your slide doesn't travel high enough to pull the needle out of the main jet the same amount, it will affect WOT performance.
