I took off the right side gear cover of my 80cc motor to put grease in and there was something like ground-up rubber laying in there. Does anyone know wat that could be and why it's doing that.

I put a small amount of grease on those gears and it melted and I caused the clutch to slip. The clutch will naturaly have dust build up as it wears. It is the same as brake pads.

Hi Generallee. I think its just very fine dust, grit, swarth and bits of grease. I don't know if it is real good, but a lil is normal in my experience.

Most likely debrisfrom the clutch pads. pretty normal to have some in there as they break in as well. Don't add too much grease or it will make the clutch slip. I just put a little on the small gear as I rotated the big gear to give an even coat.
