Riding (5-10 mph) with a new chain tensioner the chain slip off the sprocket & got caught between the sprocket and the frame. There's an aweful sound coming from the drivetrain motor.Engine starts & sound as usual. Looking at chain while riding look pretty good align. Should any part have to be replaced? Help

Welcome to the forum, if the chain came off the rear sprocket to the outside it probably was rubbing the engine sprocket cover due to the angle. If you put the chain back on and pedal around while watching for bent sections of chain and don't see any it should be ok. Look in the engine sprocket area for damage also.
You need to tighten your chain tension but first. Check for any damage and check that your engine mounts are straight
Unless the chain is poor quality with twists or defective rollers/side plates, or if the chain and sprockets are not aligned and/or the chain tension is too tight or too loose, there is no reason for the chain to come off of the sprocket.
The tensioner wheel, or the groove in it MUST be in line with the chain path. It should not pull the chain off to either side and shouldn't be used as a guide to get the chain to align with the sprocket.
Tension should be between 1/2" to 3/4" of slack.
