Did I get lucky with my cyllinder?

I recently replaced the cylinder that came with my slant kit with one that came from a regular straight up spark plug engine assuming they'd be the same. What a HUGE difference and disappointment in performance afterwards.

So, I pulled it all back apart to figure out what caused the difference. I noticed that the two transfer ports were considerably lower in the cylinder that came with my slant than the ports in the regular engine's cylinder.

I've attached a drawing with measurements from my original slant cylinder and I'm hoping some of you might compare your slant cylinder with mine to find out if the dims are pretty much standard for slant kits or if I just got lucky with my casting. The measurements are in inches and might be off by a thousandth or so cause my calipers won't fit down the cylinder but they're close enough to compare.
